ABOUT

When writing songs, you never know what’s going to happen throughout the process. At least that’s the case for Bianca Hosking, a singer-songwriter out of Melbourne, Australia. For her, writing comes from the subconscious, and every moment throughout can be a moment of discovery.

Bianca has always wanted to be a storyteller, gravitating towards artists like Taylor Swift, whom she points to as the reason for picking up a guitar as a young girl. Since then, writing songs has always been what she wanted to do, and what she believes she’s meant to do.

Her dream-pop music creates a time stamp for the listener, capturing a moment and cementing the vibe and the feeling they may have been experiencing. Infusing inspiration from artists like Lana del Rey, Kacey Musgraves, Frank Ocean, and many more, she’s crafting a pop landscape that she wants, more than anything, to share with global listeners.

She believes that when someone listens to a song, it becomes theirs, in a way — “I like to capture an experience, blow it up dramatically, and then write about it,” she says.

Take her new track “Gwen Stacy,” for example. The dreamy, expressive song feels built to soundtrack moments of budding romance, effectively capturing the feelings of yearning over melodic piano, emotional strings, and an uplifting beat.

With experience under her belt playing live shows and connecting with audiences onstage, Bianca is ready to take things to the next level. Her approach to music is altruistic, a community experience, and something she’s willing to share.
